Forum Initiative for Emergency Response and Relief
The Forum contributes to a rapid, effective response to the urgent humanitarian and social needs of groups and communities affected by crises and disasters, through direct, targeted interventions that meet basic needs, strengthen protection and support early recovery.
The programme meets the basic needs of individuals and families affected by crises by providing context-appropriate assistance, including food, water, shelter, non-food items and other essential needs, while preserving the dignity and safety of those receiving support.
The programme supports the response to emergency health and humanitarian needs by providing lifesaving services, supplies, equipment and interventions, and strengthening the response capacity of relevant facilities and organisations during crises and disasters.
The programme provides seasonal interventions targeted at the most vulnerable groups during periods of heightened need, such as winter, Ramadan, back-to-school seasons and heatwaves or cold spells, reducing risks and improving conditions for the families reached.
We invite institutions, partners, business leaders, investors, and experts to develop initiatives and projects that serve communities and create opportunities for development.
